Chapter Seven
I’ll give you as many babies as your body makes with mine.
Ezana sat on her back porch topless in a pair of blue jean shorts with her paintbrush and music. It was a little after eight o’clock in the morning, and she had been up painting since six. With a lot on her mind, she would probably be out there for a few hours more, unless her bae had different plans for her.
Esso Cash had been staying with her off and on for the past three weeks, and the more he stayed, the deeper she felt for him. It was starting to feel like they were in a relationship. Something she hadn’t been a part of for years.
A happy single woman, free to do what she pleased, and now, she was thinking of this man morning, noon and night. He was the only person clouding her brain, and the thing that worried her the most was that she wanted it. She wanted him.
Esso Cash was her husband in the making. He cooked for her, cleaned up behind himself, talked to her, listened to her, massaged her feet, ran her bath water, anything she could think of, he was already doing it.
He hung all of her new pictures around his home and was waiting for more. He allowed her to come into his home as well and add her touch. She had turtle statues there, some of her panties and some of her clothing. He was so perfect.
“Ezana Takato,” the deepness of his unique voice sounded behind her.
She looked over her shoulder to find him standing at the door, shirtless, with all of his imperfectness on display. A blunt secured tightly between his lips.
“Stating early today, ain’t you?”
“I had some awesome inspiration.”
She smiled over at him as she thought about how his face had been nuzzled between her legs a few moments ago.
“Shid, you? I’m about to sit down right now and write a book about my breakfast. I used to always hear that food was the way to a man’s heart…shid, if that’s the case I could fill myself on the taste of your pussy alone, getting fuller and fuller every day. I’d probably be the most in love nigga in the world. I’m talking about a heart big as the United States.”
“Esso, your words are inspiration alone, handsome.”
“I can still taste you on my tongue and smell you on my mustache...you’re the inspiration.” He smiled when she held her head down.
“Hold you head up. I’m the one it’s for.”
Esso walked to her small futon and took a seat on it.
Once he laid back and got comfortable, he pulled his book out of his pocket and began writing. He was quiet for a while as she continued her painting. She was so lost in the stroke of her brush and the sounds coming from her small radio that she had blocked him and everything else completely out.
“We should get out today. I want to take you somewhere.”
“Where?” Ezana perked up.
